Trisha Brush, GISP, Deputy Director GIS Administration

Trisha has been working in the GIS field since 1996 and with LINK-GIS/PDS since 2002. Trisha previously worked for Miami County, Kansas where she was their GIS Coordinator for five years and built their GIS from the ground up. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati in Geography, and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Baker University in Kansas. Trisha is a member of Kansas Association of Mappers (KAM), Kentucky Association of Professional Surveyors (KAPS), URISA, and she also is Past President and founder of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP).

Tom East, GISP, Senior GIS Specialist

Tom has been with LINK-GIS/PDS since 1990 and has worked in the field of GIS since 1977. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Mississippi State University and began his GIS career with the US Army Corps of Engineers at the Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, MS, where some of the pioneering work in satellite remote sensing of the environment occurred. Tom has also worked for the State of Mississippi as the Systems Manager for MARIS, the Mississippi Automated Resource Information System, one of the earliest statewide GIS programs in the nation. Since 1990 he has worked at LINK-GIS/PDS and applies his knowledge of GIS to the challenges of government at the local level. He is an enthusiastic amateur astronomer and volunteers at the Cincinnati Observatory Center, the Birthplace of American Astronomy.

Christy Powell, GISP, Senior GIS Programmer / Specialist

Christy has been in the GIS field since 1994 and with LINK-GIS/PDS since 1996. Christy’s primary responsibilities are programming and web development. Christy holds a Master of Science in Geosciences with an emphasis on Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing from Murray State University. She is also a past President of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP).

Joe Busemeyer, GISP, Principal GIS Programmer / Specialist

Joe has worked in the GIS field since 2004 and with LINK-GIS/PDS since 2007. Joe’s primary responsibilities with LINK-GIS/PDS include customizing ArcMAP, programming web applications, and custom mapping. Joe also works with city administrators and emergency management administrators in Northern Kentucky to meet their GIS needs.  Joe earned his MA and BA in Geography, from the University of Cincinnati. Joe is a member of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP).

Louis Hill, AICP, GISP, Geospatial Data Analyst

Louis has been working in the GIS field since 2002, and with LINK-GIS/PDS since 2014. He has previous GIS work experience in Lake County, Illinois and Boone County, Kentucky. Louis’ primary responsibility is to prepare maps and other spatial data products that facilitate planning and public discussion on topics of community importance. This includes supporting the comprehensive planning implementation efforts of PDS, and other LINK-GIS project initiatives. Louis has a strong interest in cartography, and has received several awards for cartographic achievements throughout his career. Louis earned his Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning & Development from Ball State University, and his M.S. in Information & Communication Sciences from Ball State University. Louis earned his AICP certification in 2004 and his GISP certification in 2008.

Ryan Kent, GISP, Principal GIS Data Analyst

Ryan has been on the staff of LINK-GIS/PDS since 2002. Ryan’s expertise is in brownfields, custom mapping, and SDE database management. He helped bring about the Kenton County Brownfield’s Inventory. Ryan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Northern Kentucky University. He is also a member of Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP).

Kyle Snyder, GISP, Principal GIS Specialist

Kyle has worked in the GIS field since 1996; mostly with the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission, as well as the Clermont County Auditors Office (Ohio) and the Tongass National Forest in Sitka, Alaska. Kyle has served as the president of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals and the IKO (Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio) Chapter of GITA (Geospatial and Information Technologies Association). Kyle has a Bachelor of Arts In Geography from Miami University.

Ryan Hermann, Associate GIS Specialist

Ryan has been with LINK-GIS/PDS since 2014. He is responsible for customer service, custom mapping and digital file organization. Ryan earned BA in Geographic Information Systems from Ohio University in 2013. Ryan was previously with Duke Energy where he updated the electric utility data. Ryan also interned at Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs from 2010 to 2013.

Kathy Stephens, GISP, Associate GIS Specialist

Kathy has been on the staff of LINK-GIS/PDS since 2003 and been working in the CAD/GIS industry since 2000. Kathy specializes in custom mapping and the creation of map books. Kathy is also responsible for creating/converting data from various sources. Kathy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Technology from the Northern Kentucky University. Kathy is a member of URISA, Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals and The Geological Society of America.

Steve Lilly, PLS, GISP, CPII, Land Surveying Analyst

Steve has been with PDS since 2004 and has worked in the field of GIS since 2008.  He splits his time between subdivision reviews, inspections for KCPC and maintaining GIS data layers related to boundaries, subdivisions, and surveying. Steve began his career at Viox & Viox Inc. in 1998 as a full-time field technician where his responsibilities included performing surveys such as boundary, topographical, ALTA, and data collection. He has a degree from Cincinnati State in Civil Engineering Technology & Surveying.  Steve is a member of KAPS and KAMP and currently serves on the state board as the liaison between KAPS and KAMP.
